AOS Pacific South Speices Test Images
AOS Judges need to be able to recognize species and their influence in hybrids. As part of the process in becoming an AOS Judge, many centers have prospective AOS Judges and students take and pass a species test. The following is a source for the images that the Pacific South Judging Center uses for the tests it administers.

AOS Pacific South Training Assignments
The Pacific South Training Coordinator and training committee has developed a set of training assignments to guide the training and development of student and probationary judges. These assignments cover all of the most significant orchid genera, and the more recent developments in hybridizing in these genera. Each student or probationary judge is expected to complete and turn in a written paper for each assignment, generally on a quarterly basis. Each assignment is evaluated by the Training Coordinator and discussed with the student as part of the development process. The training program is set up so that each probationary judge will have completed each assignment before being eligible for promotion to full accredited status.
